Description of Bacillus ectoiniformans CAU 1669
Cells are Gram-staining-positive short rods without a flagellum. Colonies are circular, entire, convex, smooth, translucent, and light yellow-colored after 3-5 days of incubation at 30℃ on MA. Positive for nitrate reduction and esculin hydrolysis. Utilizes D- glucose, D- maltose, potassium gluconate, adipic acid, malic acid, and phenylacetic acid. Negative for indole production, glucose fermentation, and arginine dihydrolase, gelatinase, urease, and β-galactosidase activities. Does not utilize L- arabinose, D- mannose, D- mannitol, N- acetyl-glucosamine, capric acid, and trisodium citrate.
