TYPE SPECIES: Mimosciara molobrina Rondani, 1840 [= Catocha latipes Haliday, 1833 ], by subsequent designation ( Coquillett, 1910: 621).
CURRENT STATUS: Junior synonym of Catocha Haliday, 1833 [ teste Gagné (2004: 19) ].
FAMILY: CECIDOMYIIDAE .
REMARKS: Originally proposed without included species. Coquillett (1910: 621) included the first species and simultaneously designated it as the type species of Yposatoea Rondani, 1856 .
