CURRENT STATUS: Unjustified emendation of Platynochaetus Wiedemann, 1830 ; junior synonym of Platynochaetus Wiedemann, 1830 . New synonymy.

REMARKS: Name made available as an emendation by virtue of similar spelling changes in two or more names from “ae” to “e” in the same work. Platynochaetus Wiedemann, 1830 is currently treated as a valid genus by Doczkal & Pape (2009).
