CURRENT STATUS: Unjustified emendation of Platystyla Macquart, 1835 ; junior synonym of Platystyla Macquart, 1835 (as a subgenus of Loxocera Meigen, 1803 ) [ teste Soós (1984a: 34) ].
FAMILY: PSILIDAE .
REMARKS: Name made available as an emendation by virtue of similar spelling changes in two or more names from “y” to “i” in the same work. Platystyla Macquart, 1835 is currently treated as a subgenus of Loxocera Meigen, 1803 [ teste Soós (1984a: 34) ].
