REMARKS: Anthomyza graminicola Zetterstedt, 1846 , which was listed as the taxonomically valid name for the type species by Pont (1986a: 42), has since been found by Pont (2002) to represent a different species, so Piezura pardalina Rondani, 1866 is the valid name for the type species.
