TYPE SPECIES: Mycetophila flavipes Macquart, 1826 , automatic [by designation of the same species (by original designation) for Mycetina Rondani, 1856 ].
CURRENT STATUS: Unnecessary new replacement name for Mycetina Rondani, 1856 (as “ Micetina Rndn.”); junior synonym of Mycetophila Meigen, 1803 [ teste Laštovka in Hackman et al. (1988: 266)].
FAMILY: MYCETOPHILIDAE .
REMARKS: There are two original spellings of this genus-group name in Rondani (1861e): Mycozetaea (page 12) and Micozetea (page 169). Acting as First Reviser, we select Mycozetaea as the correct original spelling, which relegates Micozetea (q. v.) to unavailable name status.

CURRENT STATUS: Unjustified emendation of Myantha Rondani, 1856 ; junior synonym of Fannia Robineau- Desvoidy, 1830. New synonymy.
FAMILY: FANNIIDAE .
REMARKS: Name made available as an emendation by virtue of similar spelling changes in two or more names from “mya” to “myia” in the same work. Myantha Rondani, 1856 is currently treated as a junior synonym of Fannia Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830 [ teste Pont (1986a: 44) ].
