CURRENT STATUS: Valid genus [ teste Papavero (1968: 3) ]. FAMILY: NEMESTRINIDAE . REMARKS: There are two original spellings of this genus-group name in Rondani (1863): Hyrmophlaeba
(page 51) and Hirmophlaeba (page 95). Acting as First Reviser, we select Hyrmophlaeba as the correct original spelling, which relegates Hirmophlaeba (q. v.) to unavailable name status. EMENDATIONS: Hirmophloeba Marschall, 1873: 333 (unjustified), n. syn.
