CURRENT STATUS: Unjustified emendation of Oplogaster Rondani, 1856 ; junior synonym of Coenosia Meigen, 1826 [ teste Pont (1986b: 199) ].

FAMILY: MUSCIDAE .

REMARKS: Name made available as an emendation by virtue of the original and changed spellings being printed together and the changed spelling being adopted. Oplogaster Rondani, 1856 is currently treated as a junior synonym of Coenosia Meigen, 1826 [ teste Pont (1986b: 199) ].

CURRENT STATUS: Incorrect subsequent spelling of Hyalomya Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830 View in CoL or subsequent usage of Hyalomyia Macquart, 1834 .

FAMILY: TACHINIDAE .

REMARKS: The earliest mention of Hyalomya Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830 using the spelling “ Hyalomyia ” that we have found in this study is Hyalomyia Macquart (1834a: 205) , as an unjustified emendation ( Evenhuis et al., 2010b: 90).
