CURRENT STATUS: Unjustified emendation of Oplocheta Rondani, 1856 ; junior synonym of Noeeta Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830 [ teste Norrbom et al. (1999: 173) ].
FAMILY: TEPHRITIDAE .
REMARKS: Name made available as an emendation by virtue of the original and changed spellings being printed in the same work (in genus header and footnote on page 132) and the changed spelling being adopted. Oplocheta Rondani, 1856 is currently treated as a junior synonym of Noeeta Robineau- Desvoidy, 1830 [ teste Norrbom et al. (1999: 173) ].
