REMARKS: Although not indicated in the text of the work itself, the type-species fixation by original designation for this and three other new genus-group names is specified in the title of the work.

REMARKS: The earliest emendation of Limnophora Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830 using the spelling “ Lymnophora ” that we have found in this study is Lymnophora Blanchard (1845: 468) , n. syn., which was made available by similar spelling changes in two or more names from “i” to “y” in the same work.
