ORIGINALLY INCLUDED SPECIES: Ochthiphila litorella Fallén, 1823 (as “ Ochtiphila Litorella Fall. ”; with “ Litorella Ochtiphilina ” Rondani, 1856 in synonymy).
TYPE SPECIES: Ochthiphila litorella Fallén, 1823 (as “ Ochtiphila Litorella Fall. ”), by original designation.
CURRENT STATUS: Junior synonym of Schoenomyza Haliday, 1833 [ teste Pont (1986b: 197) ].
FAMILY: MUSCIDAE .
REMARKS: Two names are originally included in Litorella Rondani, 1856 : Ochthiphila litorella Fallén, 1823 (as “ Ochtiphila Litorella Fall. ”) and Litorella ochtiphilina Rondani, 1856 . The latter is an unnecessary new replacement name for Ochthiphila litorella Fallén, 1823 .
