CURRENT STATUS: Junior synonym of Labigastera Macquart, 1834 [ teste Herting & Dely-Draskovits (1993: 423) ].
FAMILY: TACHINIDAE .
REMARKS: Although Herting & Dely-Draskovits (1993: 423) gave the method of type fixation for Medorilla in Rondani (1856: 74) as by original designation, they listed the type species as dating from Rondani (1861e: 78) and cited it as a synonym of Labidigaster pauciseta Rondani, 1861 . This is incorrect. The characters in Rondani (1856: 74) that make the genus-group name available serve to also make available Medorilla subfasciata as the singly included species.
