CURRENT STATUS: Unjustified emendation of Epidesmia Rondani, 1856 ; junior synonym of Acidia Robineau- Desvoidy, 1830. New synonymy.

REMARKS: Name made available as an emendation by virtue of similar spelling changes in two or more names from “i” to “y” in the same work. Epidesmia Rondani, 1856 is currently treated as a junior synonym of Acidia Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830 [ teste Norrbom et al. (1999: 67) ].
