CURRENT STATUS: Unjustified emendation of Gymnopa Fallén, 1820 ; junior synonym of Mosillus Latreille, 1804 . New synonymy.
FAMILY: EPHYDRIDAE .
REMARKS: Name made available as an emendation by virtue of similar spelling changes in two or more names from “p” to “ph” in the same work. Gymnopa Fallén, 1820 is currently treated as a junior synonym of Mosillus Latreille, 1804 [ teste Mathis & Zatwarnicki (1995: 138) ].
