CURRENT STATUS: New replacement name for Cylindrosoma Rondani, 1856 ; preoccupied by Stål, 1855; senior (but invalid) synonym of Hyperaea Robineau-Desvoidy, 1863 [ teste Herting & Dely- Draskovits (1993: 348)].
