ORIGINALLY INCLUDED SPECIES: Domomyza cincta Rondani, 1856 .
TYPE SPECIES: Domomyza cincta Rondani, 1856 [= Cacoxenus indagator Loew, 1858 ], by original designation.
CURRENT STATUS: Both the genus-group name Domomyza and the species-group name Domomyza cincta were suppressed by action of I.C.Z.N. (1997: 195 [Opinion 1879]).
FAMILY: DROSOPHILIDAE .
REMARKS: Sidorenko (1996: 21) noted that the type species of Domomyza ( Domomyza cincta Rondani, 1856 ) [originally in Drosophilidae ] was taxonomically the same as Cacoxenus indagator Loew, 1858 [in Agromyzidae ]. In the interests of nomenclatural stability, the I.C.Z.N. (1997: 195 [Opinion 1879]) suppressed the little-used Domomyza and Domomyza cincta and conserved Cacoxenus indagator Loew, 1858 .
