CURRENT STATUS: Junior synonym of Chetina Rondani, 1856 [ teste Herting & Dely-Draskovits (1993: 206) ].

REMARKS: Rondani (1861e: 159) listed this name in the Latin genitive singular as “ Chetyliae ”. There are two original spellings of this genus-group name in Rondani (1861e): Chetylya (page 158) and Chetylia (page 159). Acting as First Reviser, we select Chetylia as the correct original spelling, which relegates Chetylya (q. v.) to unavailable name status. Chetylia Rondani (1861e: 159) is most likely the same concept as that proposed by Rondani (1859b: 93) under the name “ Chetilia ”, but since there is no reference to that publication or name by Rondani (1861e: 159), Chetilia cannot be made available from the 1859 work.

CURRENT STATUS: Incorrect subsequent spelling of Chyliza Fallén, 1820 .

REMARKS: The earliest mention of Chyliza Fallén, 1820 using the spelling “ Chiliza ” that we have found in this study is in Dufour (1850: 316), as an incorrect subsequent spelling. In Rondani (1856) this is either an incorrect subsequent spelling or unjustified emendation (by virtue of similar spelling changes in two or more names from “y” to “i” in the same work). We thus follow ICZN Code Article 33.5 in treating this spelling in Rondani (1856) as an incorrect subsequent spelling.
