ORIGINALLY INCLUDED SPECIES: Stomoxys pedemontana Meigen, 1824 (with Albertia “ rubrigaster ” in synonymy).
TYPE SPECIES: Stomoxys pedemontana Meigen, 1824 , by original designation .
CURRENT STATUS: Preoccupied by Dujardin, 1838; junior synonym of Rhamphina Macquart, 1835 [ teste Herting & Dely-Draskovits (1993: 392) ].
FAMILY: TACHINIDAE .
REMARKS: The species-group name “ rubrigaster ”, discussed in comparison with Albertia pedemontana ( Rondani, 1843d: 39) , is unavailable as it is mentioned in specific synonymy with A. pedemontana and has not been made available by subsequent usage before 1961. Although not indicated in the text of Rondani (1843d), the type-species fixation by original designation for this and three other new genus-group names is specified in the title of the work.
