Type locality: Sevan ( Armenia).

Current status. Andrena (Melittoides) curiosa ( Morawitz, 1877) (transferred by Morawitz 1885: 181).

Remark. Description of female: Morawitz 1885: 181.

Distribution. Greece, Turkey, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Iran.

Primary types of Morawitz’s Andrena absent from the ZISP collection

Probably these type specimens have been lost. Although there is a small chance of finding them in the Radoszkowski collection of bees, which is stored in Museum für Naturkunde der Humboldt Universität zu Berlin ( Germany) , Institute of Systematic and Experimental Zoology, Polish Academy of Sciences (Krakow, Poland) and Natural History Museum (London, UK).
