Andrena genalis Morawitz, 1880: 363 , ♀. Type locality: Nanshankou ( China, Xinjiang).

Published (original) locality: “nordwestlichen Mongolei ”.

Current status. Andrena (Andrena) genalis Morawitz, 1880 .

Remark. Male unknown.

Morawitz (1880) described A. genalis obviously after one single female, so this specimen is a holotype, and the lectotype designation of Osytshnjuk in 1980 has been unnecessary. But Xu & Tadauchi (1997: 168) as well as Gusenleitner & Schwarz (2001: 128) refered to this unpublished lectotype designation of Osytshnjuk and in both papers this specimen is called as a “ lectotype “.

Distribution. Kyrgyzstan, China (Xinjiang).
