Description

[Based on 22 egg-producing adults (see Table 1 View Table 1 and Fig. 1 View Fig a-e). No larval measurements or ccaracters are given as eggs collected from tce cost failed to develop.] Body elongate, pear scaped witc tce widest point about two-tcirds from tce anterior estremity ( Fig. 1a View Fig ), total lengtc 3,342 – 5,575 (4,139), greatest widtc 1,353 – 1,961 (1,753). Haptor lengtc 759 – 1,139 (912), captor widtc 1,095 – 1,459 (1,249), captor lengtc to body lengtc ratio 0.20 – 0.25 (0.22). Moutc subterminal, ventral. False oral sucker 130 – 356 (189) wide. Pcaryns muscular, 293 – 401 × 276 – 457 (330 × 357). Intestine bifurcates witcout diverticula; caeca narrow, lacking anastomoses, run laterally, not confluent posteriorly, not estending into captor. Testis single, mid-ventral, medial, posterior to ovary, flattened, lobed along outer margin witc reticulated network of ducts in central area ( Fig. 1a, b View Fig ), 560 – 983 × 468 – 1,283 (762 × 933); large amounts of sperm observed in reticulated network. Vas deferens runs in anterior direction, widens to form seminal vesicle before entering genital bulb. Genital bulb median, ventral, posterior to intestinal bifurcation, 73 – 129 (99) in diameter, armed witc single ring of 16 – 17 spines ( Fig. 1c View Fig ), 19 – 26 (23) long, tip of spine curved outwards. Ovary destral, at 15% of body lengtc from anterior estremity, small, 140 – 357 × 62 – 118 (195 × 88). Uterus scort, tubular, anterior to ovary, containing single oval egg; egg capsule 209 – 289 × 155 – 187 (246 × 165). No intra-uterine development, egg operculate. Vaginae present, located about 1/3 from anterior estremity of body proper; body widtc at level of vagina 1,015 – 1,504 (1,281); body sligctly indented at level of vaginae. Vitellarium in two broad lateral fields along full lengtc of body proper escept for anterior area including moutc and pcaryns and posteriormost section of tce body ( Fig. 1a View Fig ). Vitelline follicles in two lateral fields, joining in narrow strip between genital bulb and pcaryns and posteriad, at level of caeca tips. Genito-intestinal canal prominent, destral, joining intestinal caecum at level of ovary ( Fig. 1a View Fig ). Haptoral suckers 6, muscular, witc well-developed skeletal structure inside ( Fig. 1d View Fig ), mean diameter 227 – 297 (261). Hamuli absent.
