Type material. Holotype, Ƌ, CHINA: Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Nanning City, Wuming County, Damingshan National Natural Reserve , 14.v.2012, collected by Li Hu, Fan Zhi-Hua and Yang Nan-Nan; Paratypes, 4 ♂♂ 3 ♀♀, same data as holotype.
Diagnosis. This new species is very similar to P. (P.) lii Zhang & Viraktamath, 2010 and P. (P.) palniensis Viraktamath, 1981 in body coloration but can be distinguished by the aedeagus without lateral processes and with shaft not tumid at middle; dorsal connective with long and slender process; and pygofer ventral margin with small spines and setae apically, and acute apex.
Description. Body background coloration (Fig. 1A–C) evenly dark brown, striations and punctations on surface of crown, face, pronotum and scutellum darker. Face yellowish, with pair of longitudinal cibarial muscle impressions in central part on both sides of midline contrasting sharply against surrounding areas due to different sculpture of cuticle and almost complete absence of brown dots, eyes pale brown, ocelli milky white, anteclypeus black. Pronotum and scutellum brown. Forewing venation black with white spots. Legs with black markings.
Body form (Fig. 1A–C) stout, wedge shaped. Crown very short in dorsal view, arched apically, head including eyes narrower than pronotum. Face across eyes slightly wider than long, densely punctured, frons with medial longitudinal carina, distance between ocelli nearly 5.5 × as long as that from ocellus to adjacent eye, anteclypeus projected beyond gena. Pronotum strongly declivous onward and bilaterally, with longitudinal carina in middle, about 2.6 × wider than long. Scutellum with rough surface, 1.6 × longer than pronotum, suture between mesonotum and scutellum well developed. Forewing broad, veins prominent.
Male genitalia. Pygofer ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 A) nearly triangular, broad basally, dorsal margin declivous caudoventrally, tapered to pointed end, apical half of ventral margin ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 B) with some small spines and setae, apex extended to acute tip. Subgenital plate ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 C) slender, almost parallel margined, shorter than ventral margin of pygofer, with round apex; fine setae densely distributed on lower margin, sparsely on upper margin, and cluster of long setae distally. Aedeagus ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 D–E) broad basally, with distal half strongly sinuate in lateral view, apex twisted dorsad; in ventral view, shaft gradually tapered to truncate end, gonopore apical. Dorsal connective ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 F) developed, broad and compressed, apical process slender, long, and tapered to pointed apex, slightly and evenly arcuate through most of length. Style ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 G) slender, angled on basal 2/5, stem slightly sinuate, apex abruptly narrowed and reflexed, with bluntly rounded tip. Connective ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 H–I) typical of genus.
Female. Body coloration pattern and appearance similar to male, but form slightly more robust. 7th sternite broad, hind margin sinuated, excavated medially, length of midline about 2.0 × as long as sixth sternite. Ovipositor definitely projecting beyond pygofer.
Measurement. Body length in repose (including tegmen): Ƌ, 4.8–5.0 mm; ♀, 4.9–5.2 mm.
Distribution. China (Guangxi Prov.).
Etymology. The new species name refers to the type locality, Damingshan (Guangxi Prov.).
