Distribution:— The eastern Himalayas, northeastern India, southern Myanmar, Thailand, Indochina and southwestern China.
Notes:— Rhytionanthos bootanense is a validly published name since the protologue refers to a previous Latin description and the authors indicate a type. It is erroneously published as a ‘ comb. nov.’ rather than ‘ sp. nov.’. If it is accepted as different from B. spathulatum , then a new name is needed in Bulbophyllum .

Dawei District: 220 m, 24 Mar 2012, Saw Lwin et al. TNRO 18 ( SING, SING [s]). Reported from Mon State by Kress et al. (2003: 67), but we have not seen any material from this area.
