Specimen examined:— KACHIN. Myitkyina District : 1525 m, 17 May 1914, Kingdon-Ward 1560 ( E). Distribution:— Northern Myanmar and Thailand .

Bulbophyllum tripudians C.S.P.Parish & Rchb. f., Trans. Linn. Soc. London 30: 154, 1874. Type :— MYANMAR. Mon State : Mawlamyine District, Parish 308 (lectotype K, designated by Clayton 2017: 65; isolectotype: W-R 49401 ; icon. Parish W-R 2280 )

Homotypic synonyms: Cirrhopetalum tripudians (C.S.P.Parish & Rchb.f.) C.S.P.Parish & Rchb.f., Gard. Chron., n.s., 5: 816, 1876. Tripudianthes tripudians (C.S.P.Parish & Rchb.f.) Szlach. & Kras, Richardiana 7: 96, 2007. Bulbophyllum tripudianthe J.M.H.Shaw, Orchid Rev. 124 (1314, Suppl.): 35, 2016, nom. superfl.

Specimens examined:— KACHIN. Bhamo District: Micholitz s.n. (not located, possibly K) . CHIN. Mindat District : fide Aung et al. (2020: 67) . MON. Mawlamyine District : type (see note below) .

Distribution:— Myanmar, Thailand and Indochina.

Notes:— Seidenfaden (1973: 233) pointed out that there is a note attached to the isotype sheet at W saying “kindly if new give it Micholitz’s name, he found it near Bhamo”. Seidenfaden therefore suggested that, if this note is attached to the correct sheet, the type locality would not be Moulmein/Mawlamyine but Bhamo. Clayton (2017) has made the K-sheet the lectotype but did not comment on this note attached to the duplicate at W.
