Specimens examined:— SHAN. Taunggyi District : May 1932, Dickason 5760 & 5763 ( AMES) .
Distribution:— Himalayas, northern India, eastern Myanmar, Thailand, Indochina, southwestern and southern China, Taiwan and southern Japan.
Bulbophyllum alcicorne C.S.P.Parish & Rchb. f., Trans. Linn. Soc. London 30: 151, 1874. Type :— MYANMAR. Mon State : Mawlamyine District, 1868, Parish 260 (holotype: K)
Homotypic synonym: Phyllorkis alcicornis (C.S.P.Parish & Rchb.f.) Kuntze, Revis. Gen . Pl. 2: 677, 1891.
Specimens examined:— MON. Mawlamyine District : type. WITHOUT LOCALITY. Berkeley s.n. ( K, W). Reported from Tanintharyi Region by Kress et al. (2003: 65), but we have not seen any material from this area.
Distribution:— Myanmar, Thailand, Laos and Peninsular Malaysia.
