Distribution:— Myanmar, Thailand and western Malesia.

Heterotypic synonyms: Dendrobium aclinia Lindl., J.Proc. Linn. Soc., Bot. 3: 9, 1858, nom. illeg. [non Rchb.f. 1855]. Type:— MYANMAR. Tanintharyi Region: Myeik District , 1834, Griffith 809 (holotype: K-LINDL) .

MON. Mawlamyine District: Parish 176 (K, icon. W-R 11577). TANINTHARYI. Dawei District: fide Aung et al. (2020: 79); Myeik District: types; Parish s.n. (not located), fide Clayton (2017: 68). Also reported from Shan State by Kress et al. (2003: 74), but we have not seen material from this area.
