Putao District : 2125 m, 20 Apr 1953, Kingdon-Ward 20686 ( BM) ; northeastern part: 2440 m, May 1925, Forrest 26560 ( E, K) ; Myitkyina District : 2440−2745 m, 5 Apr 1938, Kermode 17164 ( AMES, K) ; same loc., 2200−2300 m, 9 Mar 2011, Lasi Bawk Naw BW 7 ( RAF, RAF [s]). Also reported from Chin State by Kress et al. (2003: 76; as Epigeneium rotundatum ), but we have not seen material from this area.

Distribution:— The central Himalayas, northeastern India, Myanmar and southwestern and southern China.
