Distribution:— The Himalayas, northeastern India, Myanmar, Thailand, Indochina and southwestern China.

Note:— Records from Tenasserim are probably an error and likely refer to specimens cited under var. brunnea below.

(2003: 70), but we have not seen material from this area.
