Specimens examined:— SHAN. Taunggyi District: 505 m, 3 Mar 2014, Saw Lwin SL 60 ( RAF, RAF [s]), ident. uncertain. TENASSERIM. Helfer s.n., Kew Distr. 5065 ( K, NY, P) . TANINTHARYI. Dawei District : fide Aung et al. (2020: 76). Also reported from Mandalay Region by Kress et al. (2003: 72), but we have not seen material from this area.

Distribution:— The central Himalayas, northeastern India, Myanmar, Thailand and Indochina.

Dendrobium angulatum Lindl. , Gen . Sp. Orchid. Pl.: 88, 1830 [non (Blume) Lindl. 1830: 76]. Type:— MYANMAR. Mon State: Mawlamyine District , 1827, Wallich, Numer. List: no. 2010 (holotype: K-W)

Homotypic synonyms: Dendrobium podagraria Hook. f., Fl. Brit. India 5: 728, 1890, nom. superfl. Callista angulata (Lindl.) Kuntze, Revis. Gen . Pl. 2: 654, 1891.

Specimens examined:— TENASSERIM. 150 m, 29 May 1932, Kerr O1001 ( AMES, K, P). MON. Mawlamyine District: type; same loc., Parish 31 ( K); same loc., 1834, Griffith 348 ( K-LINDL). TANINTHARYI. Dawei District : fide Aung et al. (2020: 76); Myeik District : Griffith 1093, Kew Distr. 5749 ( K). WITHOUT LOCALITY. 3 Apr 1897, Peche 612 ( BM) .

Distribution:— Northeastern India, Myanmar, Thailand and possibly Vietnam.

Notes:— Clements listed the conspecific D.podagraria as a synonym of Ceraia simplicissima Lour. [= Dendrobium simplicissimum (Lour.) Kraenzl. ] ( Clements 2003: 293), an entity described from Vietnam. It is still not certain that D. angulatum occurs in Vietnam, and it is likely that D. simplicissimum is an earlier name for D. crumenatum Sw.
