Specimens examined:— KACHIN. Putao District : 2135 m, 10 Nov 1922, Kingdon-Ward 5530 ( E), det. D. J . Du Puy; Myitkyina District : 1830 m, 12 May 1938, Kermode 17357 p.p. ( AMES). WITHOUT LOCALITY. Vernon s.n. (K).

Distribution:— The eastern Himalayas, northeastern India, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam and southwestern China.

Cymbidium parishii Rchb. f., Trans. Linn. Soc. London 30: 144, 1874. Type:— MYANMAR. Border area Kayah and Kayin states: 1525 m, Parish 56 (holotype: K; isotype: W-R 45012 ; icon. K)

Homotypic synonyms: Cymbidium eburneum Lindl. var. parishii (Rchb.f.) Hook.f., Fl. Brit. India 6: 12, 1890. Cyperorchis parishii (Rchb. f.) Schltr., Repert. Spec. Nov. Regni Veg. 20: 108, 1924.

Specimens examined:— BORDER AREA KAYAH – KAYIN (Bawlake – Hpa-An). Type. TANINTHARYI. Border area Dawei and Myeik districts: Boxall s.n. (not located), see note in Du Puy & Cribb (2007: 219) and Clayton (2017: 75). Also reported from Shan State by Kress et al. (2003: 71), but we have not seen material from this area.

Distribution:— Myanmar and Thailand.
