Oreorchis discigera W.W.Sm. , Notes Roy. Bot. Gard. Edinburgh 13: 215, 1921. Type:— MYANMAR. Kachin State: Myitkyina District , 2440−2745 m, Jun 1914, Kingdon-Ward 1640 (holotype: E; isotype: BM)

Specimens examined:— KACHIN. Myitkyina District : type.Also reported from Sagaing Region, Chin State, Magway and Mandalay regions and Shan State by Kress et al. (2003: 84), but we have not seen material from these areas.

Distribution:— Endemic.
