Specimens examined:— BORDER AREA CHIN – MAGWAY ( Mindat – Gangaw districts). 23 Jun 2009, Tanaka & Yukawa 081024 ( MBK) . MANDALAY. Myingyan District : 16 Jun 2000, Tanaka et al. 020328 ( MBK, TI), fide Tanaka et al. (2015: 80) . KAYIN. Hpa-an District : fide Aung et al. (2020: 85). Also reported from Bago Region by Kress et al. (2003: 79), but we have not seen material from this area.
Distribution:— Sri Lanka, India, the Himalayas, Myanmar, Thailand, Indochina, southwestern and southern China, Taiwan, Japan and throughout Malesia to northern Australia and the islands of the western Pacific.
Note:— Griffith (1845: 358) was the first to record this species from Myanmar (Mawlamyine District) under the synonym G. pallidum , which material has not been located.
