Imp. Lackner s.n. (holotype: not located). Vanda kimballiana Rchb. f. var. grandiflora Hort., Rev. Hort. 66: 486, 1894. TYPE: Not designated.

Specimens examined:—? MYANMAR. Type. SHAN. Taunggyi District : 4 Oct 2017, Kim s.n., photo; southern part: type. WITHOUT LOCALITY. Cult. material ( E). Reported from Kachin and Chin states by Kress et al. (2003: 81), but we have not seen material from these areas .

Distribution:— Southeast Asia and southwestern China.

Notes:— The type of Tsiorchis Z.J.Liu, S.C.Chen & L.J.Chen 2011 [non Tsaiorchis Tang & F.T.Wang 1936 ], which hybridizes with Vanda coerulea Griff. ex Lindl. to form the intergeneric hybrid Vandoglossum moorei (Rolfe) J.M.H.Shaw. The variety lackneri is a white form imported with the typical plant. At the time, Myanmar was the only source.
