Distribution:— The Himalayas, northeastern India, western Myanmar and southwestern China.
Notes:— The above-cited specimens were identified by H. Kurzweil & B.B. Raskoti. Yasuda 053610A, Yasuda 053613, Yasuda 060088 and Fujikawa et al. 094119 are different from typical H. fallax in that they have broader leaves and many-flowered, flexible, wiry inflorescences. However, they are apparently merely variations of this species (B.B. Raskoti, pers. comm.).
