Distribution:— Myanmar and Thailand.

Notes:— Generally the lip of this species has patent, flattish epichile lobules, but a couple of collections (Doring 5578, Dickason 8278) have lobules that are recurved. These specimens are not V. petersiana since that has rounded side lobes and linear epichile lobules. In the western part of Mandalay Region, the species apparently forms hybrid swarms with V. brunnea and V. liouvillei ( Tanaka et al. 2015: 87) . It was pointed out ‘collections of the three species in this list may include natural hybrids among them’.

(2015: 87); same loc., 3 May 2006, Khin Myo Htwe 16 ( TNS [s]), fide Tanaka et al. (2015: 87). KAYIN. Myawaddy District: type. MON. Mawlamyine District: type; same loc., 1874, Parish s.n. ( W). Also reported from Shan State by Kress et al. (2003: 89), but we have not seen material from this area.

Distribution:— Myanmar, Thailand, Indochina and southwestern China.

Vanda × charlesworthii Rolfe, Orchid Rev. 2: 322, 1894. Types:— MYANMAR. Without locality, 16 Oct 1894, cult. Low s.n. (lectotype K, designated here). Syntype: Cult. Charlesworth s.n. (not located)

Heterotypic synonym: Vanda fleuryi Rolfe, Gard. Chron. , ser. 3, 48: 320, 1910 [as floryae].

Distribution:— Endemic.

Note:— A natural hybrid between V. bensonii and V. coerulea .
