Dawei District: fide Aung et al. (2020: 103; as T. trichoglottis ); Myeik District: Griffith 1006, Kew Distr. 5232 ( K) .

Distribution:— Bangladesh, northeastern India, Myanmar, Thailand, Indochina, southwestern China and Malesia as far east as New Guinea and northeastern Australia.

Notes:— The taxonomy of the T. hystrix / trichoglottis complex is complicated ( Seidenfaden 1988: 162–165). We have provisionally recognized the older name T. hystrix for the complex. Resolving the circumscription of these species is a focus of the authors. Kurzweil & Saw Lwin KL 2789 is similar to some forms of T. hystrix , but differs in having smaller, yellow flowers.
