Heterotypic synonym: Eria brandisii King & Pantl., J. Asiat. Soc. Bengal, Pt. 2, Nat . Hist. 66: 589, 1897. Type:— MYANMAR. Rakhine State: Sittwe District, Brandis s.n. (holotype: CAL; isotype: K).

Specimens examined:— MANDALAY. Unspecified : fide Aung et al. (2020: 103) . KAYIN. Thaungyin Valley : 7 Mar 1909, Lace 4681 ( E, K) . RAKHINE. Sittwe District : type . BAGO. District not traced: fide Aung et al. (2020: 103) . MON. Mawlamyine District : type. Also reported from Tanintharyi Region by Kress et al. (2003: 80; as Gunnarorchis perpusilla ), but we have not seen material from this area.

Distribution:— Myanmar, Thailand and Indochina.

Notes:— The generic placement of this species has been uncertain until Schuiteman (2014: 52−56) confirmed it is a species of Thelasis .
