Distribution. Australia (Victoria).
Remarks. E. proxima Kieffer was analyzed only through the available literature. Our concept of the species is based on an illustration of the forewing of E. proxima prepared by Kieffer in his original description (cf. Kieffer 1911, Figs 1–2 View FIGURES 1–2 ). The type of E. proxima should be in the British Museum of Natural History—BMNH (no. 13.195), but cannot be located.
