Diagnosis. The species is very similar to R. vibicaria , it can be distinguished by the following characters: the ground colour is densely scattered with reddish brown or grey scales in R. serraginaria , but is homogenous in R. vibicaria ; the shape of the forewing is narrower and more elongate than that in R. vibicaria ; in the male genitalia, the distal lobe of the aedeagus is curved and slightly directed outward in R. serraginaria , but obviously directed outward and broader in R. vibicaria ; the everted vesical is less rounded and smaller in R. serraginaria ; in the female genitalia, the ductus bursae is bent in lthe ateral view and narrower in R. serraginaria while it is straight and broader in R. vibicaria ; the corpus bursae is much smaller in R. serraginaria ( Kaila & Viidalepp 1996) .

Distribution. China (Xinjiang), Tian-Shan Mts. ( Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan).
