This genus (s. l.) was revised by Cassola (2002), and he provided a descriptive catalogue of the Angolan Dromica species known hitherto. Other publications on this genus are also avalable (Schüle 2004b, 2011b). There are a total of 11 species and subspecies in this genus known from Angola.
