D e s c r i p t i o n. Almost complete leaf, linear-ovate in outline, 110 mm long and 27 mm wide, base cuneate, apex long attenuate, margin entire, venation eucamptobrochidodromous, midrib straight, secondary veins alternate, originating at 30° to 40°, tertiary veins perpendicular higherorder venation regular polygonal reticulate, areolation welldeveloped.
R e m a r k s. The specific type of venation in combination with the almost linear character of the leaf lamina and an extremely attenuate apex allow an assignment to Dicotylophyllum rossmaessleri without any doubt. The element is typified in the late Eocene flora of Staré Sedlo and probably has an affinity to evergreen Fagaceae such as Eotrigonobalanus ( Knobloch et al. 1996) .
