Type species: Labops (Pachytoma) brevipennis Reuter, 1879
Diagnosis. Body black, oval, bare or hairy. Some species with yellow pattern on head, pronotum, scutellum and abdomen. Brachypterous in both sexes, wings covering only the base of the abdomen; apex of fore wing is truncated, claval commissural margin is shorter than length of scutellum. Abdomen oval, gradually expanding at middle; connexivum upwarped. Endosoma with one to three spine- or plate-like spicules.
