Description of Pseudarthrobacter phenanthrenivorans 19D1F19
Cells are facultatively aerobic, Gramstainingpositive, nonflagellated and rod shaped. Colonies are circular, raised, glistening and light yellow colored after incubation for 4 days on MH agar at 30℃. In the API 20NE system, positive reaction for nitrate reduction, esculin hydrolysis, β-galactosidase activity and utilization of D-glucose, Dmannose, Dmannitol, Dmaltose, potassium gluconate, adipic acid, malic acid, trisodium citrate and phenylacetic acid. In the API 20NE system, negative reaction for indole production, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, urease activity, gelatin hydrolysis, oxidase activity and utilization of L-arabinose, N acetylglucosamine and capric acid. Strain 19D1F19 (= NIBRBAC000503260) was isolated from soil around the Dong River, Gangwon Province, Korea (37°22′56.8″N 128°40′01.2″E) GoogleMaps .
