Lepidoleprus caelorhincus Risso, 1810: 200 , Pl. 7, fig. 22. Type locality: Nice, Mediterranean coast of France. Coelorhynchus coelorhynchus, Galil & Goren, 1994: 49 , 50; Goren & Galil, 1997: 201, 2002: 151.

Distribution. Atlantic and Mediterranean; depth range 90–1250 m. In the Levant the maximum known depth is 1485 m ( Galil & Goren, 1994).
