Distribution in the Arabian Peninsula: United Arab Emirates ( Hamer 1986, 1988 both as Liris nigra ; Gillett & Gillett 2005 as L. nigra ; Howarth & Gillett 2008), Yemen ( Bingham 1898 as Notogonia pompiliformis (Panzer, [1807–1809])).
Extralimital distribution: Afghanistan, Algeria, Austria, Bulgaria,? Burma, Canary Islands, Central Asia, China, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Egypt, Eritrea, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary,?
