Acantholepis frauenfeldi var. dolabellae Forel, 1911, p. 351 (w.) Turkey. Palaearctic.

Diagnosis

Worker. Bicoloured species with head, gaster, and legs dark brown, mesosoma red; petiole dorsum brown, base red; pronotum with 2 pairs of setae; propodeal spines short but acute.

Material examined. Seven sites: 3; 4; 7; 8; 9; 12; 19.

Geographic range. This species was described from Turkey and has been recorded from the KSA ( Collingwood 1985; Collingwood and Agosti 1996), Greece, Crete, Iran, Israel, and Turkey ( Borowiec 2014).
