Diagnosis

Worker. Cephalic dorsum usually bicoloured with area back to antennal socket dirty yellow, remaining surface dark brown; mesosoma dirty yellow-brown to brown; waist, gaster, and hind- and mid femora black-brown; eye slightly small, with microsetae; promesonotum and propodeum profiles convex; metanotal groove impressed; propodeal spines slightly short and acute with axis profile deviating from mesosomal longitudinal axis by about 48°; petiolar node slightly broader than long and with distinct peduncle; petiolar node feebly steep anteriorly and strongly steep posteriorly; foveolae on vertex more densely packed. Material examined

Three sites: 4; 9; 25.

Geographic range. This species was originally described from Iran and has a geographic distribution from Georgia east to central Iran ( Seifert 2023); it is also reported from Israel ( Seifert 2003).

Ecology and biology. This species was found foraging under a tree in a low-rainfall forest in Iran ( Pashaei Rad et al. 2018).
