Type material

1 female. Holotype: CHINA: Sichuan: female, Mt . Xiaomiaoshan (a mountain near Maoxian County town ), Maoxian County Aba Prefecture, 1600 m, 22 August 1999, Guo-Dong Ren leg . ( SWU, ex MHBU).

Description

Female. Body length 10.3 mm; pronotum length × width 3.3 × 5.3 mm; tegmen length: 6.8 mm. Body brown, heavily pubescent. Head dark chestnut; vertex with yellowish-brown pubescence, eyes small, lateral, vertex heavily pubescent, ocelli white, small, not protruding, two yellowish spots situated next to the antennal sockets, antennae brown; clypeus brownish yellow, small, anteclypeus yellowish white, postclypeus yellow, oval, smooth, median with a distinct longitudinal line; labrum wide, basal part white narrowly, distal portion brown, maxillary and labial palpi brown with joint parts white ( Figure 9a View Figure 9 ). Pronotum brown, with yellowish-brown pubescence ( Figure 9b View Figure 9 ). Tegmina thick, brown, short, just reaching to the base of supra-anal plate, apex round ( Figure 9g View Figure 9 ), surface densely covered with yellowish- brown pubescence, Sc swelling wide; wings small, reduced, Sc long, RA single, long, RP with about four branches, M slender, CuA with about five branches, CuP slender, AA thick, gradually thinner towards apical portion ( Figure 9f View Figure 9 ). Legs short, brown, arolia small ( Figure 9e View Figure 9 ), tibial spines short, yellow, with apex reddish brown. Abdomen yellowish brown, pubescent, supraanal plate suboval, with a median longitudinal line, cerci spinous ( Figure 9c View Figure 9 ); subgenital plate large, apex protruded ( Figure 9d View Figure 9 ).

Etymology

The species epithet comes from the type locality Maoxian County, in Sichuan .
