Genus Parmaphorella Strebel, 1907

Type species: Tugalia antarctica Strebel, 1907 (non Melvill & Standen, 1907) (M)

Remarks. Wenz (1938) erroneously considered Parmaphorella Strebel, 1907 preoccupied by Parmophorella Mathews, 1886 , consequently proposing Parmophoridea as a replacement name for the former. This name was subsequently employed by several authors. However, and taking into account the differences in spelling of Parmaphorella and Parmophorella , such replacement is unnecessary (WoRMS Editorial board 2017).
