Material: Solomon Islands: 1 specimen (MNHN­Py 1042), CP1800, N/ O 'Alis' Campagne SALOMON 1, 09º21.4'S 160º23.9'E, 357–359 m; 01/10/2001, coll. Bouchet, Dayat, Warén, Richer­IRD. 5 specimens (MNHN­Py 1044), station CP1831, N/ O 'Alis' Campagne SALOMON 1, 10º12.1'S 161º19.2'E, 135–325 m; 05/10/2001, coll. Bouchet, Dayat, Warén, Richer­IRD.

Remarks: A large species, characteristic of this region, recorded from New Caledonia, Vanuatu ( Stock 1997) and Fiji ( Bamber 2004) at between 140 and 723 m depth; the type locality is New Guinea.
